An IT job placement agency, or job broker as it is commonly called, is a type of consultant who is faced with employers looking for current human resources. An employment agency will usually help you to put together an excellent CV; it will suggest current employers, and list CV searches and job vacancies in the relevant sector. The good thing is that they usually don't charge for CV writing. But now, while they may not be charities, they can pay employers a fee because the job market is up to date, you are a commodity and employers are happy, i.e., up to date.

It is usually a good idea to use an up-to-date job board to find a job, especially during a recession because until now there have not been many opportunities to find or advertise and (if any) fill through in-house recruitment or a job board/employment agency.

- If you send your updated CV to different recruiters, you don't want to be up to date. They don't want to understand. Sending your CV to current recruiters is like selling a product and you decide who you want to sell the current information.

It is always a good idea to send your CV to current employers or employment agencies:

- Your CV will contain complete, accurate statistics about you.

- Don't miss out on opportunities; subscribe to our service to keep up to date with vacancies.

- Don't share financial or other documents that you don't need to share on a regular basis with the public, or perhaps a limited audience.

- Don't pay for business search offers; remember you are the product, not the customer.

- Don't pay employers to invite you to a test or interview under any pretext.

Choose wisely and use the IT job placement search as much as possible; don't waste valuable resources and channels that will lead you to a great career.
